Auditing Changes in Infinite Device Management

As of Infinite Device Management 3.23, change logs have been introduced to allow users to track changes made to the following objects:

  • Distributors
  • Dealers
  • Dealer Groups
  • Customer Groups
  • Customers
  • Sites
  • Users 
  • Alert Profiles

Depending on the object, users can find when the object was changed, who changed it and whether the modification was an Add, Edit or Delete.  Specific details of the modification may not be available depending on the scope.
 

Alert Profile Change Log


You can view a list of all alert profile changes using the Alert Profile Change Log page. If you have access, you can view the alert profile change logs by navigating to Alerting, then to Alert Profile Change Log.

Viewing the Alert Profile Change Logs


To view the most recent logs, select the filter criteria and click Find. You may filter the alert profile changes by:

  • Find Profiles for: The scope that the alert profiles belong to.
  • Filter by Alert Profile: The alert profile name.
  • Filter by Changing User: The email of the changing user.
  • Occurred in last: Limits how far back we show changes for.

Scope Change Log


You can view a list of all scoped object changes using the Scope Change Log page. If you have access, you can view the scope change logs by navigating to Administration, then to Scope Change Log.


Scoped objects include all distributors, dealer groups, dealers, customer groups, customers and sites. Device changes are not tracked in the scope change logs.

Viewing the Scope Change Logs


To view the most recent logs, select the filter criteria and click Find. You may filter the scope changes by:

  • Find objects for: The hierarchy scope of the scoped objects.
  • Filter by Scope Name: The scoped object name.
  • Filter by Changing User: The email of the user who did the change.
  • Occurred in last: The number of days back to view the logs.

User Change Log


You can view a list of all user changes using the User Change Log page. If you have access, you can view the user change logs by navigating to Administration, then to User Change Log.

Viewing the User Change Logs


To view the most recent logs, select the filter criteria and click Find. You may filter the scope changes by:

  • Find profiles for: The hierarchy scope of the user profiles.
  • Filter by User Profile: The user name.
  • Filter by Changing User: The email of the user who did the change.
  • Occurred in last: The number of days back to view the logs.

Due to security reasons, deletion of User accounts is not available through IDM.  However, details of an account removal can be provided to authorized IDM users by contacting our Technical Support.
