How to create a user

With the introduction of Print Audit's Infinite Device Management 3.20, it is now possible to assign rights to users on at a more refined level than previous releases of IDM.  To create a new user:

  1. Login to the Infinite Device Management website.
  2. Navigate to "Administration --> Users".
  3. Click on the "Create a new user" button.
  4. Enter the new user's Name and the E-mail Address.  
  5. Enter a password for the user.  The user may change their password anytime once they are able to log on to the IDM website or request a reset of their password by clicking on the "Forgot Password" link on the Infinite Device Partner Login page.  
  6. Optionally set the Account Preferences for the user. 
  7. Optionally add any Contact Information for the user.
  8. Select the scope(s) that the rights are applied to.
  9. Assign View-Only/Manage Privileges for the user.
  10. Click Save.

Quick Tip
: The easiest way to set multiple rights for a user is to grant default view/manage rights and then remove any privileges that are not desired.  For example, the following animation shows adding a user with view rights to a single customer and removing the "Actual Costs" privilege.

  • Organization Structure
  • Device Management
