How to setup Canon debug logs

With Canon devices it appears that the MIB doesn’t give us much data as we collect the information from them a little differently.

Follow these steps to ensure your running the latest version of the ICE and to get the correct logs.

  1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Print Audit Inc\Facilities Manager\plugins
  2. Right-click the file seplugincanon.dll
  3. Select Properties
  4. Select the Version tab
The version should be 1.0.3.0+ if it is not, we will want to download and run the ICE 1.7.1+ installer.

If it is, follow these steps to setup the logging.
Browse to C:\Program Files\Print Audit Inc\Facilities Manager\plugins
  1. Right-click an empty white space and Select New, New Text Document
  2. Name this Text Document ‘pacanondebug’ or if you can see the extensions ‘pacanondebug.txt’ without the ‘’
  3. Open the ICE Administrator
  4. Switch the ICE and Updater service to Stopped and back to Started, to restart the services,
  5. Select Tools, Scan Now to initiate a scan
  6. Close the ICE Administrator
  7. Browse to C:\Program Files\Print Audit Inc\Facilities Manager
  8. If the steps were performed correctly you will see a CanonPlugin.log.  Please email this file to Print Audit Support.
