Debug Logging for Print Audit 6 Mac Client

How to Setup Print Audit 6 Mac Client debug logging:
  1. Open the Finder.
  2. Go to the current user's home folder by clicking Go -> Home in the menu bar.
  3. Go into the "Library" folder inside the user's home folder.
  4. Go into the "Application Support" folder.
  5. Go into the "Print Audit 6" folder. If you do not see this folder, ensure the client is installed correctly and has been run at least once since installation.
  6. Create a new folder here called "pa6logdebug.txt".
  7. Mac OS will warn you about creating a folder with the extension ".txt". Click the "Add" button to create the folder with the extension.
  8. Go to the Applications folder by clicking Go -> Applications in the menu bar.
  9. Go into the "Print Audit 6 Folder". If you do not see this folder, ensure the client is installed correctly.
  10. Create a new folder here called "pa6logdebug.txt".
  11. Mac OS will warn you about creating a folder with the extension ".txt". Click the "Add" button to create the folder with the extension.
  12. In the root of the hard drive create a folder called PrintAuditTemp
  13. Open Terminal and chmod 666 the newly created PrintAuditTemp
  14. Restart the PA6 Client (log out and back in if you have to).
Once the issue has occurred, email a zip containing the following files to support@printaudit.com:

/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Logs/Print Audit 6/PA6ClientDebug.log
/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Logs/Print Audit 6/PA6ClientError.log
/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Logs/Print Audit 6/PA6HookDebug.log
/Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Logs/Print Audit 6/PA6HookError.log

In some cases permissions issues may prevent the PA6HookDebug.log and the PA6HookError.log being created in the above location. In this case check the PrintAuditTemp folder and the root of the hard drive for these files.
